In 2014 he managed Allegra Walker's campaign for Davidson County General Sessions judge and consulted for Kelvin Jones's campaign for Circuit Court judge.

In 2015 he was deputy campaign manager and then campaign manager for former vice mayor Howard Gentry's campaign for mayor of Nashville, then community outreach director for David Fox in the September runoff.

National field work, 2015 to 2020

From 2015 to 2016 Wright was a campaign associate with Revolution Field Strategies, a Boston canvassing firm, directing petition drives and canvass programs in several states. They included the signature drive for a Massachusetts ballot initiative on hospital prices and the drive for Montana's I-181 brain research bond program.
